Create a stronger connection

Next Steps at

Noel United Methodist church

Following Christ is a lifelong journey and you don’t have to walk it alone. Whether you're new to Noel or looking to take your relationship with Jesus and the church to a new level, we’re here to help you take your next step.

Connect and belong

Faith grows best in connection and community.

How Do I Get Connected?

  • The best way to meet people is by joining us on Sunday mornings and periodic gatherings. You are welcome to be with us before or after worship, grab coffee, say hello, and get to know who we are as a whole and individually.
  • We offer quarterly Bible studies that range from 6–8 weeks that provide space to grow in faith and friendship.
  • Our hospitality group is here each week to greet you and answer any questions. From time to time, we also host Connection Sundays that are combined with church-wide meals that everyone is welcome to attend.

How Do I Become a Member?

  • While you don’t have to be a member to serve or participate, membership is a step of deeper commitment and connection.
  • The process includes attending a membership class (part of the “What it Means to Be UMC” class), meeting with Pastor Cory, and being received in worship.
  • Let us know if you’re interested! We’re ready when you are.

learn and grow

Growth happens when we create space to explore, question, and discover together.

How Do I Learn More About the Church?

  • Let us walk with you as you explore and learn who we are and what we are all about.
  • We offer a “What it Means to Be UMC” class. The class goes over who we are as Noel and the UMC overall. You will learn about our beliefs, mission, and vision in a relaxed setting.
  • You can always schedule a time to meet with Pastor Cory for coffee or a conversation.
  • Learn more about our mission, values, and United Methodist beliefs at umc.org.

How Do I Grow Spiritually?

  • Our quarterly 6–8 week Bible studies are a great place to start.
  • We also recommend trusted devotionals and beginner-friendly resources for new believers that are available in person or on our app! Just ask.
  • We have various and continued opportunities for prayer, spiritual mentorship, and discipleship, so let us know you’re interested.

commit and take the next step

Faith deepens when we respond, take ownership, and walk boldly in grace.

How Do I Start Serving?

  • You have a gift(s) to share and we’d love to help you do that.
  • Multiple ways to serve! From hospitality and kids’ ministry, to worship, tech, or outreach.
  • Not sure of your gifts? We can walk through a spiritual gifts tool and talk together.
  • Many roles offer a no-pressure, test-it-out option with no commitment until you’re ready.

How Do I Give?

  • Giving is an act of worship and trust.
  • Our philosophy is simple: generosity flows from grace. We give not for what we believe we will receive from God, but we give in joyful RESPONSE to what God has already done.
  • You can give through the offering time during worship, online through our website, through our app, by texting (833) 353-2940 or by mailing checks to
    PO Box 42
    Santa Claus, IN 47579.
  • We also support special causes and missions, like Community Table, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Indiana, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, North Spencer Community Action Center, and Amani UMC, a new start church in Kenya.
