Does Prayer Earn God’s Love?

Today’s Reflection

Many of us hold onto a hope that prayer will get God to notice us, to believe in us, to love us.
But prayer couldn’t possibly accomplish that.
And the reason is quite simple: God already does.

Today’s Question

When did you first internalize that God loved you? How did it make you feel then? How does it make you feel now?

Today’s Scripture

You did not choose me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last.

Prayer for the Week

God, you love me even when I forget to pray; have big, terrible feelings; or fail to notice you living in me. Thank you for wanting to be my friend all the time. Amen.
