Don’t Go Alone

Today’s Reflection

When we try to go it alone along the spiritual path, the flame of faith can easily start to flicker and sometimes even go out. At moments like these we need to spend time with those who have gone through dark valleys and yet have kept trusting. Somehow their presence fans to life the struggling flames of our faith and helps us to trust more deeply that God will make all things right.

Today’s Scripture

Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another.
—Hebrews 10:24–25 (NRSVUE)

Prayer for the Week

God of peace, meet us in this moment — in our grief, in our striving, in our questions, and in our quiet hopes. Teach us to live fully and faithfully, trusting that you walk with us through every valley. Help us slow down, open our hearts, and find courage in your unwavering love. Amen.
